The intention of our concerts is to lead the audience through the sound worlds of our ensemble. Improvisations are the core of our vocalism and our group stems from this musical practice. Our improvisations are on-the-spot creations and the listener is guided through these improvisational pieces by the structure that we give to them. Written music is also given an important place in our repertoire. The Renaissance period is the golden age of polyphony, offering us jewels of brightness and intimacy. The spirituality of this music touches and transports us. In our concerts you will also discover works written by composers of our time. These pieces were commissioned by Ensemble Var's Musica. They stand for our desire to lead the audience towards new aesthetics. Depending on concert projects, our Ensemble widens its repertory to dialogues between instrument and voice, with the use of the cello, the French horn, the flute, the piano and the organ.
